Older, Retired WinNT Exams Added As MCSE Win2K Electives
Microsoft recently expanded the list of acceptable Win2k MCSE electives by adding nine exams from the Win NT track to the list. The addition of these exams will automatically bring many MCSEs certified on the NT track a step or two closer to Win2k MCSE status, based on exams they have already passed. The exams, which previously only counted toward the Windows NT track and are no longer available in testing centers, include such popular topics as Administering SQL Server 6.5, Internetworking with TCP/IP on NT 4.0, IIS 4.0, and SMS Server 1.2. See the full list on the MCSE requirements page. The new electives appear at the end of the page.
Finally – A Certification for Technical Writers
There’s long been a noticeable hole in the certification marketplace – a dearth of certifications for technical writers. eHelp, maker of the RoboHelp family of help authoring products, is stepping into that gap. Their new RoboHelp Certified Professional Program is for online help developers and technical writers. Certification is version specific, and requires passing a single certification exam (100 questions/90 minutes) administered through Prometric testing centers. An instructor designation is also available.
