Novell Announces SUSE Certified Linux Professional
Novell Corp., which has been working on its pending Certified Linux Engineer (CLE) title first reported in May 2003, has announced another Linux-focused certification in the works: SUSE Certified Linux Professional (SCLP).
While both of these titles are intended to certify the expertise to support Novell’s Linux-based solutions, the CLE Linux knowledge is vendor-neutral and the SUSE title adds on SUSE-specific Linux Enterprise Server material. The CLE practicum, originally slated for a December 2003 release, is now expected to be available in March. Novell recently completed an acquisition of SUSE LINUX.
