Enterprise OpenSocial Whitepaper

OpenSocial: Although it was originally used by sites like MySpace and Ning to provide typical social networking capabilities, OpenSocial is also used by enterprises who want to apply some of the benefits of social networking to their organization’s operations. Different organizations have used the framework to enhance their interaction with their customers and business partners and to facilitate greater internal collaboration.

This paper gives an overview of OpenSocial architecture, and explains why and how enterprises are using it. It also covers some of the enterprise-specific considerations and concerns.
