GigaOm: According to StatCounter, Web discovery engine StumbleUpon has overtaken Facebook as the leading Web traffic driver among social networking sites. The site also previously held the title for two weeks in February 2010, but Facebook quickly returned to the top spot.
Currently, StumbleUpon accounts for about 50 percent of all website referrals from social media, and Facebook has about 40 percent. No other social media sites come close to the two leaders.
