Washington Post: Samsung is launching a new cross-platform mobile chat service that some are calling an “SMS-killer.” Similar to BlackBerry Messenger, Samsung’s ChatON service will enable one-to-one or group chats, and it will allow users to attach photos, videos and audio messages. However, unlike Messenger, it will work on Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Samsung’s Bada OS and even feature phones and PCs.
The service will debut in more than 120 countries next month.
