TechCrunch: Mobile ad network InMobi has released the results of a new survey which found that 41 percent of current mobile users in the U.S., Mexico and Canada plan to buy an iPhone 5. Among those who plan to buy the iPhone 5,  50 percent plan to purchase the smartphone within six months of its release.

However, if Apple does not announce the iPhone 5 and instead releases an updated version of the iPhone 4, only 15 percent of mobile users said they would be interested in buying it.
