Users are putting in pre-orders for 2,000 of the tablets per hour, 5,000 per day, for a total of 250,000 since the device was announced. At that pace, Amazon will sell 2.5 million units before it actually begins shipping the product on Nov. 15, beating the records set by the iPad and iPad 2.
