eWeek: Staffing firm Robert Half Technology says that IT security pros should see pay increases of about 4.5 percent next year, making IT security one of the hottest professions in terms of salary growth. In addition, 24 percent of CIOs said that security was their top professional concern.

Overall, the Robert Half Technology expects IT workers to see increases of about 3 percent. Other IT titles with big salary increases expected next year include mobile application developers and network engineers.
