iPad Accounts for 97.2% of U.S. Tablet Browsing

Mobile Burn: According to the latest comScore report, Apple’s iPad accounts for nearly all of the Web browsing from tablets in the U.S. — 97.2 percent to be exact. It seems that iPad owners also do more browsing than iPhone owners: 46.8 percent of all iOS Web traffic comes from the iPad, compared to 42.6 percent from the iPhone.

Not surprisingly, Apple’s iOS dominates the total mobile Web traffic numbers, accounting for 58.5 percent of the market. Android was second with 31.9 percent of mobile traffic, and RIM placed third at 5 percent.
