Computer Weekly: The latest report from Trend Micro says that Google has replaced Microsoft as the software provider with the most known security vulnerabilities, primarily because of flaws in the Chrome browser. Microsoft actually fell to third on the list, behind Oracle.
The report also says that the nature of cyberattacks is changing: targeted attacks and advanced persistent threats (APTs) are becoming more common. It details one such targeted attack–the LURID downloader–which compromised up to 1,465 systems.
