PCWorld: According to Google’s Robert Whiteside, more than 3,000 companies sign up for Google Apps every day, although most of them are small to medium-sized businesses. So far, approximately 3 million businesses use the cloud-based services, including 1 million in EMEA.

“We have really seen cloud computing go mainstream. One of the great values of cloud computing is it’s very accessible,” said Whiteside. “The reality is that the model of cloud computing transforms your working practices, [allowing employees to] collaborate with each other, connecting staff in different ways. The cloud allows you to solve new business problems.”
