Reuters: In a ruling in the ongoing patent lawsuit between the two companies, a court in The Netherlands has granted Apple an injunction banning the sale of certain Samsung smartphones. The ban will apply to Galaxy S, S II and Ace smartphones and will take effect in The Netherlands and some other European countries beginning October 13.
A court spokesperson said this initial ruling “has no bearing whatsoever on the merits of the case.” However, the injunction cannot be appealed.
