USA Today: Amazon has announced that it will begin shipping its new Kindle Fire tablet today, one day earlier than planned. In addition, the Kindle Touch will begin shipping tomorrow, six days ahead of schedule. Pre-orders for the new devices have been brisk.
The Kindle Fire retails for $199. Kindle Touch e-reader sells for $99 for the Wi-Fi version and $149 for the 3G version.
