Microsoft’s newest enterprise resources planning solution clearly targets a global audience, with support for almost two dozen languages.

Four months after it began beta testing, the software giant says it has shipped the latest update of its Dynamics AX ERP package as promised.

Microsoft this week released the latest update to its Dynamics AX enterprise resource planning (ERP) package to general availability worldwide, on schedule.

Dynamics AX 2012 is shipping in 25 countries and 23 different languages, according to a Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) statement.

Among the features in the updated version, which has been in beta test since April, are new built-in capabilities to support multiple industries and geographic regions.

Additionally, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 adds several new core ERP features.

These include new supplier relationship management and case management capabilities, a new constraint-based product configurator, and public-fund accounting, as well as support for project quotation and budget control for service businesses.

Meanwhile, AX 2012 also provides improved support for multi-entity capabilities, along with embedded business intelligence and reporting.
