Wall Street Journal: IT and management recruiters say that e-commerce managers are in high demand as retailers gear up for the holiday season. Big names like Target, Walmart and Kohls are all looking for someone to manage their websites, and many smaller businesses are also looking for new e-commerce executives.
According to Les Berglass, the founder of executive-recruitment firm Berglass & Associates, e-commerce heads typically earn between $300,000 and $500,000, but some “stars” make more than $1 million per year. He says that about 20 percent of his current projects involve searching for for e-commerce managers.
