The Register: Responding to growing calls for a “Do Not Track” button, Google has released an optional extension for its Chrome browser that can prevent users from seeing targeted ads that rely on information gleaned from their browsing history. Called “Keep My Opt Outs,” the extension is now available through the Chrome Web Store.
