If price is a key consideration for your company and you run a lot of Microsoft software, Profisee might be a good option for your master data management (MDM) needs. Low cost of ownership is this vendor’s calling card. Additionally, Profisee focuses on fast deployment – a good sign that its application does not need deep in-house expertise to use, which again creates low cost of ownership.
However, the application does not run on platforms other than Windows. So Profisee has targeted a truly fulfiling a smaller niche, rather than focusing on enterprise customers that run a mixed environment. Given that the company is a pure-play MDM vendor founded by experts with deep alliances with Microsoft, it is clearly set up to cater to the niche it targets.
Founded in 2007, Profisee is a privately held pure-play MDM vendor headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. It was founded by the management team behind the startup Stratature, which Microsoft acquired and used to create its own Microsoft Master Data Services (MDS) product. The company continues to have a close relationship with Microsoft, and it is a Microsoft Gold ISV Partner.
By some estimates Profisee is the fastest-growing company in the MDM market, but revenues are not disclosed.
Profisee’s MDM promises a low total cost of ownership and fast deployment. Its core platform is tightly integrated with the Microsoft technology stack, and it comes with out-of-the-box connectors for Dynamics CRM and Dynamics AX. The company also offers training and related services.
