All Things D: Social coding website Github has received $100 million in funding from venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. That’s Andreessen Horrowitz’s largest ever investment in a single company. Sources say the deal valued GitHub at $750 million.

GitHub currently hosts more than three million development projects, approximately half of which are open source projects. The site hosts open source projects for free, but charges enterprise users for private hosting. It has been profitable for the past five years.
