WALLDORF, Germany — SAP is rolling out sets of packaged services for some of its products.

SAP released its SAP Business Journeys line of services, which each feature a predefined scope, timeline, and cost, according to the company last month.

Each set of services is intended to deliver “targeted outcomes,” by combining SAP expertise to address customers’ business and technology events as they move to the cloud and the latest SAP technology.

An SAP Business Journey is designed to address a “cross-business” challenge — such as how to grow the business, make processes more sustainable, or innovate to compete — in a “consumable way.”

The service offering outlines the steps a company must take to gain measurable value from an SAP software investment by achieving specific goals.

The SAP team orchestrates the process, from planning to execution and reporting. A team of experts, including a journey lead from SAP, facilitates the execution between SAP and the customer, using a methodology and driving knowledge transfer.

SAP plans to offer additional SAP Business Journeys.

“Many of the current challenges customers face reach across multiple business units, processes and technical landscapes,” said Kurt Bauer, global SVP, premium engagements, cloud success services, SAP.

“Solving them can become quite complex. We created the journeys with the clear goal of offering a simple way to tackle complexity and to deliver outcomes critical to the strategy of our customers.”
