Microsoft Bing Search Queries Overtake Yahoo for the First Time in December

Google continues to dominate the search market with more than 65 percent of all queries.

TechCrunch: According to the latest research from comScore, Microsoft's Bing search engine captured 15.1 percent of the search market in December, putting it ahead of Yahoo for the first time ever. Yahoo accounted for 14.5 percent of the market during the month, a decline from 15.1 percent in November.

However, both Bing and Yahoo trail far behind Google, which dominated with 65.9 percent of the market. That was a slight increase from 65.4 percent during the previous month.

Overall, U.S. search queries during December 2011 were up 3 percent to hit 20.5 billion.
