The Verge: For its fiscal year which ended March 31, Chinese PC maker Lenovo reported sales of $29.6 billion, a 37 percent increase from the previous year. Profit totaled $584 million. While overall PC industry shipments climbed just 3 percent for the year, Lenovo's shipments increased 34.9 percent.
China plays a big role in the company's success. Lenovo enjoys a 30 percent market share in the country, and China accounts for 39 percent of Lenovo's sales.
The latest financial report makes Lenovo the world's second largest PC maker, behind HP, with a 12.9 percent worldwide market share.
