NetworkWorld: A new report from tech employment-research firm Foote Partners says that the U.S. added 18,200 IT jobs in July, the highest growth in a single month since 2008. While U.S. job growth has been sluggish overall, the tech industry has added 242,000 jobs in the last 24 months, including nearly 57,000 new jobs in the past three months.
David Foote, CEO at Foote Partners, says the job outlook is best for applicants with a wide range of IT skills. "Many companies are looking for superstars and workers we refer to as 'walking Swiss Army knives' — those with the right mix of technology, business and people skills to handle some very tough jobs," he said.
