eWeek: As the Apple v. Samsung patent lawsuit draws closer to a close, Judge Lucy Koh is urging the two sides to consider settling. If the trial goes to the jury, “I see risk here for both sides,” said Koh. She said both companies had delivered their messages and that it was time for the CEOs to start talking, even if only by phone.

The trial has been underway for three weeks. During that time, Apple has presented evidence that Samsung infringed on its design patents. However, Samsung presented evidence that Apple’s designs were based on prior art, making them invalid, and Samsung also presented evidence that Apple infringed on some of Samsung’s patents.
