Fortune: Apple rarely releases detailed information about its App Store, but Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster has issued a report that claims the store’s sales and average sales price are increasing. According to Munster, the average iOS device owner will download 83 apps this year, a 61 percent increase over last year. In addition, he says that the average selling price for apps is up 14 percent, after an 18 percent drop last year.

Despite the big numbers, the App Store only accounts for about 1 percent of Apple’s total revenue.
