Google+ Loses 60% of Active Users

New users who flocked to Google's social network aren't sticking around.

The Inquirer: A new report from Chitika Insights says that the Gooogle+ social network has lost about 60 percent of its active users. Google opened the new service to all users on September 20 -- the same time that Facebook rolled out some new changes to its interface. During the few days that followed, membership in Google+ surged by 1200 percent. However, the majority of those who signed up quickly stopped using the service.

For now, it seems that Google+'s biggest challenge isn't attracting users, but getting them to keep using the service.
