Novell: According to an independent consultant, GroupWise advantages in the areas of supporting infrastructure, hardware, operating
systems, licensing, acquisition costs and migration requirements make it a superior choice versus Microsoft Exchange. For example, GroupWise gives enterprises a wide choice of operating systems and, unlike Exchange, does not require 64-bit servers. With 5,000 users, hardware costs for Exchange could reach $77,000 versus $42,000 for GroupWise, while licensing with Microsoft could cost up to $1.1 million versus $719,000 with Novell.
