These days, Android game apps are hotter than ever. And when you consider how often we’re sitting in front of our Android phones, it makes a lot of sense that we’re playing using mobile game apps than ever. In this piece, I’ll share 10 great Android game apps folks are playing these days.

Top Android Game Apps: Start Downloading!

Minecraft Pocket Edition – Similar to its desktop PC counterpart, Minecraft Pocket Edition provides Minecraft fans with the ability to play a mobile friendly version of the game, on their Android phones. There is also a multiplayer mode available that allows anyone playing Minecraft Pocket Edition on any touch-friendly platform to participate in the game with you.

Bloons TD 5 – If you’re looking for a fun Android app that’s a bit silly, then Bloons TD 5 is the game for you. Build towers for defense, pop those pesky balloons and just have fun! This game is as immersive as you want it to be. Available for Android, on Steam and other mobile platforms as well.

Five Nights At Freddy’s – I’ve played this game on Steam, and now that Five Nights At Freddy’s available on Android I bet this means there will be more than a few people gasping aloud as they’re playing it around town. Point being, this game has a habit of catching you off guard. The idea is to “survive” as many nights as you can. Most people rarely survive five based on my experience. Monitor those security cameras…because if you don’t – boom, you’re dead!

GTA San AndreasGTA San Andreas is like having the full GTA experience in the palm of your hand. The focus of the game returns to his old neighborhood in order to take control of a now corrupt environment. Gangs, drug wars and corruption are everywhere. Note, this is a game for the highest end mobile devices only. If your phone is less than a year old, I’d contact the vendor before buying it to verify compatibility as with any seriously demanding Android game apps.

Lego Jurassic World – Lego based video games have been growing in popularity with people of all ages for sometime now. Lego Jurassic World is no exception. This game presents the “brick” version of Jurassic World the movie in a single video game. The game play takes a bit of getting used to, however the ability to create your own dinosaurs more than makes up for it.

Monopoly – One game that will be a big hit with those who love board games is Monopoly. For $2, it’s certainly worth the investment to relive those great Monopoly memories! Pick your player, roll the dice and do your best to stay out of jail!

Goat Simulator – If you’ve ever wanted to use a goat like a skateboard in a mobile simulation, then this is the game for you. Goat Simulator has bizarre game physics, allows you to unlock the strangest achievements, and most importantly…explore your virtual world with a rag-doll like goat! As Android apps go, this one is a bit of a roller-coaster.

8 Ball Pool – Playing pool on an Android phone might seem a bit strange at first. However once you have the controls down, you’ll find yourself getting sucked into playing 8 Ball Pool for hours. This game will allow you to play one on one or even in tournament mode if you prefer.

Lords Mobile – If RPGs are your thing, Lords Mobile will do its part to keep you engaged. Unlike many other android apps, this game provides you with true multi-player RPG game play in true HD. Do you have what it takes to win Lords Mobile battles? Try it and find out!

Disney Crossy Road – You’ve heard the joke about the chicken who tried to cross the road, now try the game…with a Disney twist! Take control of various Disney and Pixar characters as they attempt to cross various road obstacles without being completely flattened with Disney Crossy Road.

Android game apps are here to stay

There can be no doubt about it, Android game apps have helped to bring mobile gaming into the 21st century. What will the next few years bring within the world of Android gaming? Only time will tell. But my guess is we’ll continue to see a mix of casual and advanced games topping the charts. What are your favorites? Let us know in the Comments section below.
