Bloomberg: Fast on the heels of discredited rumors that Samsung was interested in buying RIM, two unnamed sources tell Bloomberg that IBM approached RIM with interest in acquiring the company's enterprise services division. The enterprise services unit operates the secure servers that support the BlackBerry network. IBM was reportedly not interested in the RIM division that manufactures BlackBerry smartphones.

The sources say RIM has decided to wait until after the 2013 rollout of BlackBerry 10 hardware before it decides to sell any pieces of the company.
