Samsung Seeks Import Ban on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Samsung says Apple is violating five of its patents and wants the International Trade Commission to ban the import of Apple products made in China to the U.S.

Fortune: Samsung is Apple's largest supplier of memory chips, but patent expert Florian Mueller says the two seem to be headed for an "ugly divorce." Samsung has accused Apple of violating five of its patents and has asked the International Trade Commission (ITC) to ban Apple from importing iPads, iPhones and iPod Touches made in China to the U.S.

Apple had previously filed a lawsuit against Samsung accusing it of copying Apple's designs. Experts had been expecting Apple to ask the ITC to ban Samsung from importing its Galaxy products to the U.S.
