Samsung Scores Victory Against Apple in Germany

A German judge says the new version of the Galaxy Tab no longer infringes on Apple's iPad design.

PCWorld: A German district court judge has ruled that Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 does not infringe on Apple's iPad design. Earlier, the court had ruled that the original Galaxy Tab 10 was too much like the iPad, and it banned sales in Germany. Apple felt that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 also copied the iPad, but the court disagreed.

The new ruling is preliminary. A final ruling is due February 9.
