NetworkWorld: A new report from market research firm Forrester finds that working remotely has become the norm for IT staff. A survey of nearly 5,000 information workers found that 50 percent work at least part of the time from home or another remote location, while 45 percent always work at the office.

The survey also found that 35 percent of those surveyed used their smartphones for work, while only 11 percent used a tablet for work. BlackBerry was still the most common mobile platform for these workers, followed by Android and iOS devices.
