Microsoft Plans 20 Patches Next Week, Will Fix Duqu and BEAST Bugs

December's Patch Tuesday will see the release of 14 security bulletins.

Computerworld: Next Tuesday, Microsoft plans to release 14 security bulletins patching 20 vulnerabilities in Windows, Internet Explorer (IE), Office, and Windows Media Player. Three of the Patch Tuesday bulletins are rated "critical," while the rest are considered "important." Among the vulnerabilities addressed by the patches are those exploited by the Duqu trojan and the BEAST, ("Browser Exploit Against SSL/TLS") hacking tool.

Andrew Storms of nCircle Security said that this month's releases are "all over the map." He added, "It looks like a big cleanup, where they're trying to get as much as they can off their plate before the end of the year."
