Leap Motion: Control PC With Hand Gestures

The new motion control device offers much finer control than Microsoft's Kinect.

InformationWeek: On Monday, Leap Motion unveiled the Leap, a new motion control device that promises gesture-based control of PCs, as seen in the movie Minority Report. The device is somewhat similar to Microsoft's Kinect, but while Kinect captures large-scale movements, Leap can track movements as fine as 1/100 of a millimeter. The company designed the device for use in creating 3D modeling, but it can be used for many other applications as well.

The Leap will go on sale this winter for $70.
