Economic Times: UK-based Datawind says that it will begin selling the world's cheapest tablet PC in India in December. The Android-based device will feature Wi-Fi connectivity, 256 MB of RAM, a 2GB SD memory card, a 32 GB expandable memory slot and two USB ports. It will cost Rs 1,750 or about $35.

"We wanted to show the world when China can break price points, India can do it better," said Datawind CEO Suneet Singh Tuli.
