Hello, iPhone 4S

Apple surprised everyone by rolling out an upgraded version of the iPhone 4 instead of an all-new iPhone 5.

Computerworld: At Tuesday's event, Apple surprised nearly everyone by rolling out a new version of the iPhone 4, instead of an all-new iPhone 5. The iPhone 4S will become available October 14, with pre-orders beginning October 7. Prices (with a new contract) run $199 for the 16GB version, $299 for the 32GB version and $399 for the 64GB version.

Although the iPhone 4S looks just like the iPhone 4, it has a dual-core processor and an 8 megapixel camera. It also includes Siri, a new voice control app.
