Google Apps for Teams, Google Listen Are Now History

Google continues to purge unprofitable products and services.

eWeek: Google has announced that it is shutting down Google Apps for Teams, Google Listen, Google Video for Business, and 150 of its sponsored blogs. Existing Apps for Teams accounts will be transitioned to personal Google accounts. Google Listen will become part of Google Play. Content currently hosted with Video for Business will be migrated to Google Drive. And the content that would have been posted in the 150 discontinued blogs will be posted in more popular blogs.

Google CEO Larry Page began a process of "house-cleaning" at the company last summer. Since then, Google has discontinued or merged approximately 50 of its less-popular products and services.
