GlobalSign Stops Issuing Digital Certificates After Hack

The hacker behind the Comodo and DigiNotar attacks says he has also compromised GlobalSign's network.

PCMagazine: The hacker who claims responsibility for the attacks on Comodo and DigiNotar says that he has also hacked four other certificate authorities (CAs)-- companies that have the ability to issue SSL certificates used in Web traffic encryption. He named one of those CAs: GlobalSign. In response, the company said, "GlobalSign takes this claim very seriously and is currently investigating. As a responsible CA, we have decided to temporarily cease issuance of all Certificates until the investigation is complete."

"Wait for me, you have so much more SHOCKINGS to see from me!" the hacker added in his online post.
