InformationWeek: In order to attract more top IT graduates and professionals from the private sector, the federal government is launching a new Technology Fellows program. Qualified candidates with undergraduate degrees in computer science, computational mathematics, IT, or information science, and a graduate degree or relevant work experience in an IT-related field can apply for the positions beginning September 25. Those who are accepted into the program will work for the Chief Information Officers Council (CIOC) for two years, with the option of continuing to work for the feds after that.

The Technology Fellows will work on critical problems in the federal IT portfolio and will gain experience in managing large IT projects.
