Reuters: On February 28, Dell launched the XPS 13, an ultrabook designed to compete against the MacBook Air. Although the company says it was "aggressive" in its sales forecast for the new product, sales have "exceeded our expectations." However, the PC vendor did not release any hard numbers to back up its claims.

Prices for the Dell XPS 13 start just under $1,000. Dell says that, so far, about half of the new ultrabooks it has sold have gone to enterprises.
