China Mainly Blames U.S. and India for 500,000 Cyber Attacks Last Year

The Chinese government says that it is also a victim of hack attacks.

International Business Times: Just days after a McAfee report blamed China for a large cyber-espionage operation, the Chinese government has revealed that the country was the target of nearly half a million cyber attacks last year. More than half of those attacks originated in other countries, most commonly the U.S. (15 percent) and India (8 percent). A Chinese report says that the most common type of attack was a Trojan.

China had previously responded to the cyber espionage charges by saying, "The McAfee report claims that a 'state actor' engaged in hacking for a large-scale Internet espionage operation, but its analysis clearly does not stand up to scrutiny."
