BlackBerry Services Come Slowly Sputtering Back

RIM says service has been restored in some parts of the world, but the outage is not fully resolved.

Fox News: RIM says services have been restored for its BlackBerry users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, but many U.S. customers continue to complain that they are not receiving their e-mails. RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis posted a video apology yesterday in which he admitted it was "too soon to say this issue is fully resolved."

Although some observers are dubious, the company continues to blame the outage on a "core switch failure" which caused a backlog of delayed e-mails and eventually resulted in a near global outage.
