Apple, Samsung Fail to Reach Agreement in Court-Ordered Talks

The companies' U.S. patent trial will begin the end of June.

Apple Insider: Unsurprisingly, two days of court-ordered mediation between the CEOs of Samsung and Apple failed to result in a settlement for their ongoing patent disputes. Apple still insists that Samsung copied its iPhone and iPad design, Samsung insists that Apple should pay royalties on Samsung wireless technology patents, and neither company has been willing to give in to the other's demands.  As a result, a U.S. trial is slated to begin in late June.

Apple and Samsung have related lawsuits pending in numerous other countries. So far, Apple has been more successful in the international court proceedings that Samsung has.
