Bloomberg: Unnamed "people familiar with the matter" tell Bloomberg that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has subpoenaed Apple as part of its anti-trust investigation of Google. The FTC was reportedly seeking information about agreements that made Google the default search engine on the iPhone and iPad. Google's search rivals, most notably Microsoft, have complained that those agreements discouraged competition.
The FTC is also examining allegations that Google charges unfairly high advertising rates for companies who products compete with Google's, that Google boosts the rankings of its own services in its search engine, and that it is using Android to quell competition.
