Amazon Cloud Accessed Daily by a Third of All 'Net Users

Report says 1 percent of all consumer Internet traffic in North America goes through Amazon Web Services servers.

Computerworld: A new report from cloud intelligence company DeepField Networks indicates just how pervasive Amazon's cloud computing services have become. According to the report, one third of all Internet users access Amazon Web Services (AWS) services at least once daily, and one percent of North America's consumer Internet traffic passes through AWS.

Cloud services "are becoming the Internet," said DeepField co-founder and CEO Craig Labovitz. "The nature of what the Internet looks like is changing very quickly."
