Compaq Windows NT Server claims Oracle Applications benchmark record

Compaq has issued a new advisory that it has established a new record of 1,792 concurrent users with an average response time of 2.17 seconds on the Oracle Applications Standard Benchmark (OASBM).

The benchmark was performed on a single Compaq ProLiant 6400R as the database server and six ProLiant 6400R's on the application tier. The raid array storage system used was Compaq's RA4000. With this benchmark, Compaq has once again demonstrated that ProLiant servers provide one of the industry's highest performing platforms for managing the most demanding applications in today's e-business economy. A competitor's UNIX-based server held the previous record.
