Oracle today announced that Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Applications release 7.9.6 is now available, accompanied by the following new products: Oracle Project Analytics, Oracle Loyalty Analytics, and by new features in the core application.

The company also announced certified integration between BI and its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne financial management software.

Business Intelligence is part of Oracle’s (NASDAQ: ORCL) suite of middleware applications.

New features in Oracle BI Applications release 7.9.6 include HR capabilities to track human resources, procurement and spending analytics to track enterprise budgets, and price analytics to help enterprises manage price segmentation and discounting.

The company also released industry-specific ERP and CRM solutions covering a variety of topics spanning the breadth of any business from contact center telephony to the supply chain to marketing.

Oracle Project Analytics is a new component of Oracle BI Applications that integrates with project management features of Oracle’s E-Business Suite and Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise. It also works with legacy systems through what the company calls “Universal Adapters.”

It features several dashboards. One is for the executive, giving an overview of all of a company’s projects. Another is for the manager, providing detailed information on an individual project. A third is designed for the public sector, where profitability is not the key determinant of project success.

Oracle Loyalty Analytics is another new component of Oracle BI Applications. It helps marketers track and optimize their loyalty programs and is integrated with Oracle’s Siebel Loyalty Management.

It is designed to enable marketers to conduct detailed demographic and tier analysis to improve promotions by achieving higher response rates. It is also designed to help financial managers evaluate the cost and ROI of loyalty programs.

Lastly, the company announced that Oracle BI Applications is integrated with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management software.

“The integration between Oracle BI Applications Release 7.9.6 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management offers customers timely, accurate insight into their financial performance,” said Lenley Hensarling, group vice president and general manager of Oracle’s JD Edwards in a statement.

“Beyond monitoring and analyzing performance and processes, Oracle Financial Analytics will help JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management users affect changes and improvements. Today’s news is an initial step in offering JD Edwards EnterpriseOne customers a complete and integrated BI solution.”
