Company Description

Founded in 2009, Turbonomic offers a complete platform for hybrid cloud automation that can accelerate cloud migrations and optimize cloud spending. Privately held, it has raised more than $117.5 million in funding, including a $50 million round that closed in 2017. The company has won numerous awards, such as being named to the Inc. 5000, one of the Inc. Best Workplaces for 2018, Forbes Cloud 100 for 2018, CRN Tech Innovators for 2017 and an IDC Innovator for 2017.

Turbonomic’s customers include more than 100 companies from the Fortune 500. Some of the well-known brands that use the Turbonomic platform include PNC, Expedia, Lockheed Martin, Auto Zone, ConocoPhillips, Akamai, Xerox, Thomson Reuters, BT, CenturyLink, Angie’s List, BMC and AT&T.

Product Description

Turbonomic’s hybrid cloud automation platform is also called Turbonomic. According to the company, it “automates placement, sizing, and provisioning of workloads and continuously analyzes and adjusts IT resources in real-time, to assure application performance while maintaining policy compliance at the lowest cost to your business.” It includes a dashboard for monitoring workloads before, during and after cloud migrations.

The platform comes in three different editions: Essentials, Advanced and Premier. The company does not disclose pricing but says that the product delivers a return on investment (ROI) within three months. A demo is available on the website, and the firm also offers a free 30-day trial of the Premier edition.
