Bottom Line

Suitable for large enterprises in a variety of industries, Orchestra Networks EBX is a master data management (MDM) platform that emphasizes flexibility.

Specifically, it runs on multiple platforms, in the cloud or on premises, and it makes it easy for organizations to create their own data management applications. It is clearly designed for today's IT operation that deploys a mixed enterprise system.

Company Description

Although it is more than fifteen years old, Orchestra Networks is less well-known than some of the other MDM vendors. It's a pure-play data management company with just one product—EBX. Its headquarters are in Boston, Massachusetts, and Paris, France, and it has offices in 23 other countries.

The company is privately held. According to Crunchbase, it has raised $2 million in funding.

Product Description

EBX offers a model-driven approach that allows enterprises to design their own data management applications. It includes data modeling, data validation, matching and merging, versioning, security, hierarchy management, workflow, graph visualization, digital asset management, integration and KPI and dashboard capabilities.

Users deploy it on top of a relational database, but it adds features that provide some of the flexibility of NoSQL and graph databases.
