The Verge: Smartphone manufacturer LG told a Korean publication that it has no more plans to produce phones that run on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform. The reason? Poor sales. “The total unit of Windows Phone sold in the global market is not a meaningful figure,” said a spokesperson.

The company said it will continue some R&D efforts related to Windows Phone, but it will be focusing on Android-based smartphones.
