Facebook and Yahoo Settle Patent Dispute

TechWorld: Facebook and Yahoo have settled their patent dispute out of court. As part of the settlement, the two Internet heavyweights agreed to licensing terms, created a new advertising partnership and expanded an existing content distribution agreements.

IDC analyst Karsten Weide described the settlement agreement this way: “Primarily, I think this is Yahoo saying, ‘Oops, sorry we bothered you with the patent stuff.’ We’re going to go home now.”
